Lord of Mysteries Adds a Blackthorn Skip for Teams With 3,500 Fashion
The September 17 patch adds a team-based skip for Blackthorn Casebook minigames, Special Duty rewards and a September 21 drop-source change.
One well-dressed teammate will be able to get a Blackthorn Casebook party past its minigames. In the September 17 update notes for Lord of Mysteries, the developers add a skip when at least one Nighthawk in the team has a Fashion rating of 3,500 or higher.
The Chinese stat is 风尚度. Once a team meets that condition, it can skip the minigame stages during Blackthorn night duty and proceed directly to the elite enemies and boss fights. The notes put the requirement on a qualifying member of the team. They do not say that every player needs 3,500.
That gives the daily run a shorter route for eligible parties, though the combat stages remain. The official Y1S1.2 notes on TapTap do not specify a separate skip price, a button location or whether skipping changes rewards. Check the in-game prompt before using it.
Special Duty adds another Blackthorn challenge
The same update introduces 特别执勤, translated here as Special Duty, as a seasonal Blackthorn Casebook activity. Players can enter with a team or use the mode with AI teammates, according to the patch notes.
In the official September 15 reward preview, the developers list Extraordinary Materials (非凡物质) and Golden Thread (金纺线) among its regular personal rewards. They also list a chance of receiving 恩赐装备, or Blessing equipment, and an increase to shared rewards. The poster does not give quantities or drop rates.
The skip rule and Special Duty appear as separate additions in the update notes. Those notes do not establish that Special Duty has the same skip rule, so do not assume that a 3,500 Fashion teammate bypasses its stages too.
A reward source changes on September 21
The update also changes the source of 秘晶·归来, translated here as Return Secret Crystal. The developers say players will be able to obtain it through Blackthorn Special Duty. They will remove it from secret-treasure chest drops after the weekly reset at 08:00 on September 21 in the China service.
The notes do not announce that existing copies will expire, and they do not provide a Special Duty drop rate for it.
